Congrats to Comic-Con Fashion Show Finalist Kendra Raymond

Film & TV Costume Design Student Kendra Raymond was featured as a finalist in the Her Universe fashion show at the famed Comic-Con event in San Diego. Kendra Raymond titled her costume design “Catwoman Origins,” based of off DC Comics.

Showing their support, VA Education Benefits Coordinator Patricia Martinez attended the show as a VIP guest, along with FIDM Fashion Design Students and Veterans, Justine Alexander and Amanda Vazquez—which Kendra calls her “military family.” Kendra’s spouse is a Veteran.

Kendra Raymond moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of working in costume design for film and television. She has already completed her A.A. Professional Designation Degree in Fashion Design from FIDM and is set to complete the Film & TV Costume Design program in March of 2020. After seeing the designer’s work at Comic Con the year prior, Ripley’s Hollywood recruited her to help update costumes on several of their wax figures.

Founded by actress, author, entrepreneur, and voice of Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ heroine Ahsoka Tano, Ashley Eckstein, Her Universe offers apparel from pop culture franchises including Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, and Pixar.
