Alumna Mandi Line is Costume Designer For BH90210

FIDM Alumna Mandi Line, best known for her work on Pretty Little Liars, The Arrangement, Charmed, and Travelers, is the Costume Designer on FOX's BH90210, the reboot of the popular 1990s series. Last night, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling joined Mandi for an intimate, behind the scenes discussion about the show and its costumes at Westfield Century City, just a few miles away from the Los Angeles campus.

The series, which filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia and premiered on August 7, 2019, features the entire main cast from the original series, except for Luke Perry, who passed away unexpectedly in March of this year. Mandi spent six weeks in Canada working on the current iteration of the hit show, which aired from 1990 to 2000.

"What an exciting journey this has been for me," she recently wrote on Instagram. "I mean c'mon I get to recreate and actually design looks these icons get to wear for BH90210. I mean it's hard work yes, no sleep yes, but 22 years in the business and I still get so excited to bring my creations and my [collaborations] to life."

At last night's event, held outdoors in the Atrium at Westfield Century City, iconic costumes from the beloved show were on display. Spelling said if she could bring any look back it would be the mermaid costume her character Donna wore. Garth's pick? "The dresses that Brenda and Kelly showed up together in."
