Footwear design classes and interaction with industry professionals give students hands-on experience designing a footwear collection and developing a business strategy. In classrooms equipped with footwear industry technology, students channel their creative inspiration to design a footwear collection that reflects knowledge of trends, supply chain realities, and the current global marketplace.
The Footwear Design & Development Program* prepares students for careers in the global footwear industry. It offers students the opportunity to integrate critical and creative thought and technical skills. Students explore how construction, technology, sustainability, cultural diversity, and esthetics influence design.
