Answers to questions about our 3 Days of Fashion summer program.
This event is open to all high school students. Students in the 8th grade who will be entering high school in the new school year, as well a recent high school grads are also encouraged to attend.
The cost of 3 Days of Fashion is $300.00 per student. Fashion Club Presidents and Accepted FIDM Students may attend the event at a discounted rate. All supplies, breakfast and lunch meals are included. The price of the Parent Program varies by campus.
Lodging and transportation to and from 3 Days of Fashion are not included. For information about hotels located in the surrounding areas of the campus, please visit our hotel information page.
The hours vary each day, but the average day is between 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. On the first day of the program, check-in times are as follows:
- Los Angeles – 8:00 a.m.
- Orange County – 8:00 a.m.
- San Diego – 8:30 a.m.
- San Francisco – 9:00 a.m.
Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided each day.
- Los Angeles: June 20 – 22, 2018
- San Diego: June 25 – 27, 2018
- San Francisco: June 25 – 27, 2018
- Orange County: June 27 – 29, 2018
All campuses offer similar programs and workshops. However, the daily activities vary as they are planned uniquely for each campus.
The final workshops for 2018 are being finalized, although the topics include:
- Fashion Buying
- Fashion Merchandising
- Fashion Draping
- Fashion Sketching
- Trend Forecasting
- Interior Design
- Social Media

Clothing should always be college appropriate (not too short or revealing). Remember that you may have the opportunity to take photos with Project Runway alumnus Nick Verreos and other special guests. Some workshops require the use of hot glue guns and other crafting materials so dress accordingly.

There are numerous shopping opportunities at 3 Days of Fashion including FIDM's Scholarship Store, pop-up shops, and a merchandising field trip where you will tour a variety of retail stores. You may also decide to bring cash for on-site vending machines.
