California company Patagonia was recognized for its "circular economy strategy" at this year's world economic forum in Davos, Switzerland reports Business of Fashion. Founded on the the premise of creating apparel that could last a lifetime, the company intends to move its consumer repair and recycling program online starting summer 2017. The Worn Wear platform will create an online marketplace for consumers to buy and sell used Patagonia apparel. "The whole idea of the circular economy is creating no waste," explains industry sustainability consultant Julie Gilhart. "There should be no end life of anything. Nothing should just sit in landfill."
