The 7th annual Innovative Materials Conference will take place at FIDM Los Angeles, in the Annex, Room A 332, from October 31, 2016 to November 4, 2016, presented by the FIDM Library and FIDM Alumni Association. Discover the latest advancements in the textiles and materials industries, including innovations in wearable technology and sustainable products. Kristine will be representing FIDM in Montreal next week as a speaker at the Wear It Smart Conference.
On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Scott Wilson, Vice President of JS Apparel, one of the largest clothing manufacturers in Los Angeles, will discuss sustainable practices in the industry. He will demonstrate a hands-on 3D human body scanner and measuring system that eliminates waste and can be used for custom-made apparel. The exhibit will be open from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
