This year, the NRF Foundation collaborated with STORY, the New York City retailer, for the Student Challenge Competition - The Big Pitch. This business-case competition allows NRF Student Association members to demonstrate their creativity and business acumen to retail executives.
Two FIDM Student Teams—Team Sensory and Team Travel—have qualified to move on to the semi-finals. Team Sensory includes Alexandra Bejan, Stacy Cho, Fallon Dobrisky, and Dmitri Walker, and Team Travel includes Jillian Colin, Amanda Tobias, Chloe White, and Kathryn Wysocki.
There were 28 submissions from NRF member colleges across the U.S. FIDM's two teams were among the 10 semi-finalists.
In addition to creating a 20-page pitch presentation applying business and retail concepts, students submitted a 90-second pitch video, which were then evaluated by retail executives from top companies.
The final teams will attend the NRF Foundation Gala in New York City
