Massive retailers like Macy's and Target say that their first priority this year is enthusiasm when it comes to hiring holiday sales help. Brand evangelism—wearing the brand and loving it—takes precedence over retail experience, hiring managers told Business of Fashion. Analysts explain that "the trend in holiday hiring reflects a broader move by stores to emphasize customer service" all year round. Macy's is hiring 83,000 extra retail associates, and Target and Kohl's 70,000 each. Visit the FIDM Career Center for more hiring advice and postings.
