Rosemary Tyrrell

General Studies

Rosemary Tyrrell holds a degree in Theatre and ran a non-profit arts agency before joining the faculty at FIDM 14 years ago. This popular Instructor teaches History of Costume, Effective Speaking, 20th Century Designers, Writing Skills, English Composition, Critical Thinking, and Consumer Behavior.

An educator for over 20 years, Rosemary is also the Instructional Specialist on the San Diego campus, and the new eLearning Instructional Specialist for the Bachelor’s program.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at FIDM?
I love the students. They are the most motivated and creative students I have ever worked with.

Describe a favorite class project.
In my Writing Skills class, the students do a blog. I am always in awe of what they have experienced in their lives.

Rosemary Tyrrell is an Outstanding Faculty Award winner, an award given by the student body to outstanding faculty members.
