In addition to designing her custom jewelry, California artist Jennifer Monroe has worked as an artist at Disneyland, and as a scenic painter, art assistant, and project manager in the entertainment industry. Presently, she splits her time between teaching metal and craft techniques at her Carlsbad, CA studio and teaching at FIDM’s Downtown LA campus.
What classes do you teach at FIDM?
Creative Design for Jewelry and Metalsmithing.
What do you enjoy most about teaching at FIDM?
Commuting from a beach town to the hub of the jewelry district gives me a great balance of studio time and downtown energy. I love how dedicated the students and faculty at FIDM are to their passions.
Jennifer Monroe is an Outstanding Faculty Award Winner, an award given by the student body to outstanding faculty members.
