For more than 50 years, Inspiration has been in publication highlighting the realm of visual store design and merchandising. Based out of Switzerland, with bilingual text in English and German, this magazine (in circulation six times a year) is a first class ticket to front row seats to shop windows, exhibition design, and the art of merchandise display from around the world. Creating desire in the retail environment, seasonal window treatments aim to lure us from the street and come into the store for more. Reports on directives seen at trade shows and conventions such as the annual International Congress for Visual Marketing, Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, and the Global Department Store Summit in Paris capture trends as modern day’s creative economy enters a new arena of three-dimensional expression.

Inspiration is heavy with themed images accompanied with subsequent industry notes for designers of exhibit spaces, interiors, and set decorating for the mass marketplace with access to sourcing contacts, readers can reference with their fold-out index of companies found in each issue. Inspiration also gives insight into conceptualization, development and implementation of all intercontinental visual communication initiatives including signage and graphics for special events. Expect a blend of panoramic shots of international retail floors, shadowbox vignette case studies, and wide angle lens window installations.
