Let the summer blockbusters begin! Will Men in Black3 be able to top The Avengers? If you haven’t seen The Avengers, hurry up and get to the theater. With over half a billion dollars in domestic revenue so far, everyone seems to agree that it will be worth your time. I know I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Now on to my review.

When an escaped alien criminal goes back in time and kills Agent K in 1969, the Agency is changed and earth is placed in jeopardy. Agent J must also travel back in time to save the young Agent K, the Agency, and earth. For the Men in Black, it’s all in a day’s work.

As for this third installment in the Men in Black franchise, it’s pretty good, too. Ten years after the last outing, the film’s team has gone back to what made the original film such a hit. There are plenty of aliens running around; Will Smith as Agent J is still cracking jokes while Tommy Lee Jones maintains his impassive façade; and the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Josh Brolin playing the young Agent K in 1969 does a very impressive job as the younger and less stoic Tommy Lee Jones.

For me, some of the highlights of the film are the really awesome toys the agents get to play with, the great fashions depicted in the 1969 scenes, and the twist near the end of the film.

Other films to watch for this summer include: Snow White and the Huntsman, Prometheus, Rock of Ages, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises, and Total Recall.
