The Taunton Press
A magazine devoted to fine sewing techniques...
Threads, published bimonthly by the Taunton Press, is a magazine devoted to fine sewing techniques. Subjects included are design, fit and fabric, details, and tips for all skill levels. Every issue includes articles that focus on sewing basics and fitting problems that sewers commonly encounter, sewing equipment currently on the market, and books that have been recently published and reviewed. Though the magazine is almost entirely devoted to women’s clothing, one article about home decorating is included in every issue.
Feature articles cover a wide spectrum of subjects. The most current issue, September 2001, includes articles regarding sewing classic leather pants, creating machine patchwork, fine hand stitching, and many more. Threads magazine has introduced a new feature article called "Master Class", which is intended for a more advanced audience. The September issue features a "Master Class" on draping, which is interesting to the beginner despite the advanced techniques.
Threads is the leading magazine for the home sewing enthusiast at all stages of accomplishment.
