In collaboration with the swimwear company Beach Rays, Textile Students designed prints for Junior boys and girls shorts and suits. The company awarded a cash prize to the winning designer and all the designs were displayed in a campus window.
Students in the Textile Design program travel to industry partner Cotton Inc.'s headquarters in North Carolina where the company manufactures the students' print designs onto fabric.
Textile Design students collaborated with Los Angeles manufacturer Jerry Leigh to design and produce print leggings for the Junior market. Student designs were showcased in a campus window display and sold out at a pop-up store on campus.
Textile Design students worked with the company’s owner to design prints for unique, contemporary lamp shades. Entrepreneur Daniel Cytrynowicz critiqued each student’s work and selected one to produce for the Textile show.
Socially conscious TOMS invited Textile Design students to paint their original designs onto blank white shoes as part of the company’s “Style Your Sole” fundraising effort. The one-of-a-kind shoes were exhibited in a colorful downtown campus window display.
