Part of the educational path at FIDM

Today, internships are not only desirable, they’re an absolutely integral step in launching a successful career. We have, on average, over 2,000 internships a year, and it’s an incredible advantage for our students to have access to so many great companies—especially since internships often lead to full time employment." —Sharon Ryan, Executive Director, FIDM Industry Relations

With access to an impressive network of thousands of employers nationwide, Advisors in the Career Center work one-on-one with students to help find the right internship, giving them a jumpstart on creating the career of their dreams. For many of the degree programs, internships are built directly into the curriculum, making them an important part of the educational path.

What FIDM Students are saying:

I'm already working with tech packs and hand sketching a lot of garments. I’m really applying what I've learned at FIDM.” —Shirley Zheng, J Brand Jeans Intern

It wasn’t until the incredibly eye-opening FIDM Denim Tour that I realized what I wanted to do. During our visit to the GUESS World Headquarters, I learned about the company’s ten-week paid summer internship program. Interning for GUESS has been the best experience I have ever had.” —Kelsey Farrer, Guess Intern

3 Dee International for Steve Madden asked me to come up with design ideas for the classic moccasin. When I opened the box I couldn't believe that my design had actually come to life.” —Lauren Duncan, Steve Madden Intern
