He worked with me on every step of the process and encouraged, as well as guided me, as to how FIDM will be instrumental in getting me into my dream career.
Tell us a bit about yourself. In addition to my passion for the field of fashion, my other hobbies include reading, classical and contemporary dancing, cooking, styling, and traveling. I have traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, and America, since childhood. I love learning about different cultures and customs and also like to learn what different cultures have to offer in the world of fashion. Fashion is what I really enjoy and have immense passion for. Styling and exploring new fashion trends come natural to me and I aspire to follow my dream and continue to grow in fashion domain.
What are your proudest accomplishments so far? Being able to follow my dream and making the decision to change my career from engineering management to fashion. This was not an easy decision for me since it required me to start from the bottom and leave my lucrative career. However, my passion and drive for the field of fashion allowed me to make this transition and be very successful so far in this field.

I am positive that FIDM is right for me since it will provide me the platform to accomplish my career goal in fashion industry and will help me get to new heights.
Describe your entrance project. My entrance project is about my dream to start my own label someday. It is about a specialty store inspired by the Parisian-style boutiques, which would sell a variety of women’s apparels and accessories sourced from various premium fashion brands from around the world. The project shows that this store would cater to the woman of today who is smart, confident, outgoing, and who juggles between various lifestyles like that of a career woman or a fitness enthusiast or one who loves to travel.
What are your career goals? Upon my graduation from FIDM, I want to work as a buyer for a high-end or a luxury brand and eventually, after getting sufficient experience, I want to be an entrepreneur and start my own label.
