Other exclusive on-campus events

It doesn’t stop with the Student Activities Office. There are many other departments on campus that host free events not to be missed. FIDM fosters an environment of networking with other students, faculty, staff, and key industry leaders.

DEBUT Runway Show
Students from all FIDM campuses are encouraged to attend, free of charge, the DEBUT Runway Show, which is held in Los Angeles each winter quarter. DEBUT showcases graduates' work from FIDM's Advanced Study Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design programs, as well as the work of Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Textile Design students.

Media Lounge Screenings
Free screenings from the Library’s runway and designer documentary collections are held weekly in the Library Media Lounge. Special requests are welcome. The Lounge is also a great place for students to relax and watch television, or a title of their choice from a selection of over 6,000 titles.

Library Guest Speaker Series
Coinciding with National Library Week, the FIDM Library schedules guest speakers throughout the month of April to talk about new books, industry trends, and other important subjects relevant to the fashion and beauty industries. Events are free and open to all students. Lunch is provided.

Book Signings
The FIDM Museum Shop organizes presentations and book signings by exciting authors in the fashion and design industries. Events are free and open to all students.

Exhibitions
FIDM Museum & Galleries hosts special free exhibits throughout the year.
