An excellent education is essential to career success - vibrant campus life is just plain essential.
With so many creative like-minded people, FIDM campus life is nothing short of exhilarating. When not in the classroom, students are socializing, participating in organized Student Activities, or getting involved in various clubs and volunteer groups.
FIDM Parking is available to students for a fee. There are many day use parking lots in the vicinity of the college, as well. Students should see the Student Activities Department regarding parking information for their campus and surrounding community.
The FIDM Store is a great place to find art materials, supplies, notebooks, college-related reference books, stationery, and cards, as well as FIDM-branded clothing, accessories, tote bags, and gifts. The L.A. campus is an authorized Adobe reseller, and offers Adobe software at special student pricing, up to 80% savings. FIDM Store hours are posted on each campus. Shop online at www.thefidmstore.com.
In preparation for the various supplies and other items students will be carrying to campus each day (and to share our school spirit), FIDM provides each student with a FIDM tote bag during the first quarter of each contracted program. Tote bag distribution days and hours are posted quarterly. Of course, additional FIDM tote bags may be purchased in The FIDM Store.
The FIDM Museum Shop, located next to the FIDM Museum & Galleries, features unique jewelry, accessories, home décor, and books. Many of these distinctive pieces are designed by FIDM Faculty, Alumni, and L.A. designers. Contact the Los Angeles campus for hours or shop online at www.fidmmuseumshop.org. Also, the FIDM Museum Shop hosts book signings and guest speaker events. Check their website for listings.
Each FIDM campus has a Student Lounge where students can eat lunch, catch up on homework, get information, participate in campus events and activities, and relax. There are plenty of vending machines, plus conveniently located microwaves for student use.
Café FIDM overlooks Grand Hope Park on the first floor of the Los Angeles campus. It's a great place for students to grab a coffee or sandwich, pick up the latest fashion magazines, or just sit down and relax for a minute before heading to their next class.
