The FIDM Library

At the FIDM Library, you'll find a number of books and other publications that provide financial aid information and scholarship search advice. Publications are continually being updated, so check regularly at the Library for up-to-the-minute resources.

Here are two of the reference books available:
1) The Scholarship Book, 13th Edition: The Complete Guide to Private-Sector Scholarships, Fellowships, Grants, and Loans for the Undergraduate, National Scholarship Research Service and Daniel J. Cassidy, Prentice Hall (2008).
A comprehensive guide to more than 4,000 private-sector scholarships, grants, and loans, listed by state and college. It gives students essential tips for determining the awards for which they might qualify, helps them write winning essays, applications, and cover letters, alerts them to scams and rip-offs, and provides useful lists of recommended websites and publications. Up-to-date information on millions of privately funded awards totaling more than $8 billion from private sources, such as foundations, corporations, and religious and civic organizations. Online Research

Several Internet sites provide free scholarship search services, matching you with the grants and scholarships for which you qualify. You'll also find plenty of information and advice on financial aid.
Get help with the entire college process, including College Board tests, finding a college, applying to colleges, and searching for scholarships. There is also a financial aid calendar and a college price list. This free web version of the College Board's FUND FINDER scholarship database contains listings of scholarships, fellowships, loans, internships, and other types of financial aid.

This free web version of the Wintergreen/Orchard House Scholarship Finder database contains listings of more than 500,000 private sector awards. Students complete the Student Profile form, and the service returns search results to the student's mailbox, which is regularly updated as new scholarships become available.
