All majors can use PCs or Macs with the exception of Graphic Design and Digital Media, where access to a Mac is strongly suggested.
* Students enrolled in Interior Design and have an Intel-based Mac are recommended to have Parallels or Bootcamp v2.0 installed in order to run Windows for use with AutoCAD 2011 or Autodesk® 3ds Max 2011. In these cases, students will need to purchase a current version of Microsoft Windows operating system separately. As an alternative, the newly released AutoCAD 2011 for Mac is now available as well.

Students who are required to use 3ds Max and have a Mac will need to purchase Windows as mentioned above since this software is not available for the Mac operating system. 3 year educational trials of AutoCAD 2011, AutoCad 2011 for Mac, and 3ds Max 2011 products are available online via the Autodesk® Educational Community at http://students.autodesk.com.
