Student Services
Housing
The Housing Department is committed to helping students with their housing transition by assisting them with finding the plan that best suits their needs. The Housing Department offers several services, including:
Student Housing — consists of privately owned and operated apartment complexes with locations in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. Numerous units in these apartment buildings have been reserved for FIDM students only. This popular option creates an exciting community of FIDM students in each location. Space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Independent Housing/Roommate Referrals — assists students with apartment and roommate referrals. Students are responsible to contract the different apartment complexes and potential roommates directly. The properties that are used by Student Housing are also available students independently, however, the leasing packages and rates may not be the same.

- Industry information and current hiring trends

- On-campus Job Fairs and company recruitment days
- Special events: Career Connections, Industry Partnership, and Industry Expo
Entering students are encouraged to seek career services immediately after registering for their first quarter classes. Continuing students are advised to remain in contact with their Career Advisors throughout the program. Students are encouraged to obtain part-time employment in positions related to their majors. The goal of such employment is to prepare students for full-time positions upon graduation and to give them experience working with professionals in their chosen fields. Although employment is not mandatory, many opportunities are available through the Career Center. Individual career-related assistance can be utilized at all of the FIDM campuses. Alumni have access to all employment-related services, including FIDM's online job search, and are encouraged to keep in touch with the Alumni Association Office to participate in all events.
