OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT(S) from High School / Secondary schools and (if applicable) all colleges or universities. International Students must send transcripts accompanied by official English translations.

THREE RECOMMENDATIONS from teachers, counselors or employers.

You may ask these professionals to write you a letter of recommendation, or you can have them fill out a PDF formatted Reference Request form. If you'd like to use our Reference Request form, first download it, then open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader, print 3 copies and distribute one form to each person who will be recommending you.

Please ask for these references to be returned to you in a sealed envelope upon completion so you may include them when mailing the other application materials listed on this page.

  1. Your educational background (academic and extra curricular) and your work experience to date.
  2. Which major(s) are you considering and describe why.
  3. How long have you considered this field?
  4. The reasons you might choose FIDM among all your college choices.
  5. Your career goals and aspirations upon graduation from FIDM.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENT PROJECT - Select your major from the list below for specific instructions. An application may be submitted without the project, but acceptance can only be determined when the project submission (if applicable) and all necessary application materials are reviewed.

APPLICATION FEES:

California Applicants - $225


$25 paid upon application to FIDM*
$200 paid upon acceptance to FIDM*

U.S. Out-of-State Applicants - $375

$25 paid upon application to FIDM*
$200 submitted prior to acceptance to FIDM*
$150 Out-of-state student fee paid after acceptance to FIDM*

International Applicants - $525

$25 US paid upon application to FIDM*
$200 submitted prior to acceptance to FIDM*
$300 International student fee paid after acceptance to FIDM*

EXPLANATION OF APPLICATION FEES:

1. The non-refundable $25 application fee can be paid by check, money order, or online by Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

2. For Out-of-State and International Students, the $200 APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION FEE should be submitted as a separate check or money order along with the application materials prior to determining the student's acceptance. It will be returned if the student is not accepted and is nonrefundable upon acceptance.

APPLICATION FORM:

When filling out the Online Application, please have your credit card information ready to pay the $25 initial application fee at the end of the form. FIDM accepts Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

Or, download the PDF formatted Printable Application form, open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader, then print and complete the application form. Be sure to provide the application materials and appropriate fees described in items 1 - 5 and mail to the address below (item7).


Submitting an application is not an obligation for an applicant to attend FIDM nor is FIDM obligated to accept the applicant.
