IMPD 2009 Students design apparel & home
collections for Decree and Dorm Life private labels.

Working alongside industry partner JCPenney for nine months gave IMPD students a glimpse at how large companies produce for the masses. They met JCPenney designers at the company’s headquarters in Plano, Texas and traveled to Europe and Asia for research.

For Decree, an apparel line for young women, students designed knits, wovens, denim, and accessories inspired by the colorful prints and silhouettes they saw during their travels abroad.

IMPD team members created innovative hard and soft goods like space-saving desks and reversible comforters for Dorm Life, a home collection for college-bound youth.
