The Solarium takes on a new complexion... a retreat inspired by the intoxicating mood of the 1930's. Simple details include Pompeii stone floors and grey limestone steps. Walls are painted in an Italian ochre, and the ceiling and mouldings have been washed with a Murano glass gold. Venetian glass lamps and hanging Italian Baroque fixtures illuminate the room.

The floor plan is separated by a double sided divan and 1930's club chairs covered in sage green linen velvet. A pair of 19th Century terra-cotta urns from L'Orangerie filled with lush birds of paradise add a tropical overtone and accentuate the Palladian architecture.
