Kerrie Kordowski
Born in Manhasset, New York, Kerrie Kordowski was a creative girl from the very start. Playtime with friends never required toys, just imagination. At the same time she also enjoyed science and medicine, and wanted to become a nurse. She completed her Bachelor's degree in science and became a registered nurse. Although nursing was her vocation, design was her avocation, and she decided to turn design into her full-time career. She enrolled in FIDM's Fashion Design program and, after graduation, began working in the film industry, where she worked as a Costume Designer on films and theatre productions. After submitting her portfolio to FIDM, she was accepted into FIDM's third-year Advanced Study Program in Theatre Costume and awarded the Alex Rolden Scholarship.
