FIDM Grads Design Winning Looks for Award Season

From the Golden Globes to the Academy Awards, FIDM Fashion Design grads are ruling the red carpet. Read on for a look at who wore what to the season's most exciting, star-studded occasions.

   

Dressed to Thrill

Presenter Jamie Lee Curtis (Freaky Friday) donned a stunning, strapless Monique Lhuiller gown for this year's Oscars. Academy Award nominee Annette O'Toole (Smallville) shone in a copper dress by Kevan Hall. O'Toole received her nomination for the song "A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow" from the film A Mighty Wind. The actress/composer co-wrote the tune with husband Michael
McKean (Spinal Tap
and Lenny of Laverne
and Shirley's Lenny
and Squiggy).

Mafia Princess

Actress Jamie-Lynn DiScala (Meadow on The Sopranos) wore a chic black Monique Lhullier dress with a glam clutch and pretty be-ribboned heels to The Sopranos' fifth-season premiere.

SAG Sweetheart

Former child actress and Screen Actors Guild President Melissa Gilbert (Little House on the Prairie) wore a striking black and white matte jersey gown by Kevan Hall to this year's SAG awards.

Golden Girls

The red-carpet runway at this year's Golden Globes featured winning designs by two FIDM grads. Actresses Bonnie Hunt (Cheaper by the Dozen) and Megan Mullally (Will and Grace) were trés elegant in dresses designed by Kevan Hall while Elisha Cuthbert (24, Old School) looked simply sweet in a pastel gown by Monique Lhullier.
