FIDM Orange County -- A Dazzling New Campus

FIDM Orange County is an ultra-modern campus featuring lofts, an indoor/outdoor student lounge, eye-popping colors, and a one-of-a-kind audio visual igloo.

World-renowned architect Clive Wilkinson designed the campus and added unique touches such as bright color panels and unique built-in furniture. There is a strong indoor/outdoor connection as evidenced by the student lounge and the use of glass throughout the campus.

The existing 53,000 square foot tilt-up warehouse building had been broken into three zones with concrete separating walls. To connect the different areas of the new campus together, Wilkinson planned strategic openings in the building shell that enabled a seamless circulation loop, some dramatic high public spaces, and direct connection to the new exterior courtyards.

The Orange County campus was designed in response to the area’s growing importance as a business, cultural, and residential center.
